Support for Shared/Global Sprints

In previous versions, each Team was required to manage their own Sprints which resulted in a few problems:

• the replication of Program Increment sprints across multiple boards

• no way to centrally manage sprints - each team was required to manually start/complete their sprints on their backlog

• difficulty rolling up reporting across multiple teams

We’re delighted to announce that Easy Agile Programs 3.1.0 now supports a new option: the use of shared/global sprints!

Configuring Team Managed or Shared Sprints

Sprint management is configured on a Program Increment level.

When creating a new Program Increment, you will be presented with the following Create an Increment screen:

The Sprint source section is where you can configure whether:

• you want all of the teams in your Program Increment to share the same sprints or

• you want all of the teams in your Program Increment to manage their own sprints which live on their agile board in Jira

Pre-filling Issues with Components/Labels to meet board filter conditions

In previous versions, creating an issue on the Team Planning Board where a board’s filter looked like:

• Project = EASY AND component = Agile ORDER BY Rank ASC

• Project = EASY AND labels in (Programs, Jira) ORDER BY Rank ASC

• Project = EASY AND component = 10021 ORDER BY Rank ASC

would result in that issue disappearing from view after creation.

Issues were not pre-filled with the component or label values, and therefore did not meet the conditions to be displayed on the Team Planning Board.

Easy Agile Programs now supports pre-filling issues created on the Team Planning Board with any component or label specified in the Board filter! This means no more disappearing acts. Your issues will remain visible in Programs with the component/labels assigned to them in Jira.

Bugfixes and Small Improvements

We made the following small improvements and bugfixes this release:

• Clicking on the 'x' to delete a dependency will now pop a message, asking you to confirm whether you want to proceed
