Navigating to Roadmaps
Once installed, the Roadmap option will appear on all:
Jira Software scrum and kanban boards
(Cloud only) Team-managed software projects
The app is not available in Business projects or Jira Service Management projects.
Finding the Roadmaps tool
On Jira Cloud
The “Roadmap” option will show in the Project sidebar.
You can also find the app in the “…” dropdown on the Active sprint, Kanban board or Backlog page.

Jira Cloud’s navigation is changing!
Options in the left project sidebar will move to a horizontal tab bar at the top of the page.
Read more about Atlassian’s change to navigation across the Cloud platform here. This is set to be rolled out in March 2025.
In the new Cloud navigation, find the “Roadmap” option in the project tabs:

Next steps: getting started
No configuration is necessary to start using the roadmap tool.
However, you may wish to configure date syncing so that plans you make in the app stay aligned with the dates saved to your Jira issues.
