Navigating to Roadmaps

Once installed, the Roadmap option will appear on all:

  • Jira Software scrum and kanban boards

  • (Cloud only) Team-managed software projects

The app is not available in Business projects or Jira Service Management projects.

The “Roadmap” option will show in the Project sidebar.

You can also find the app in the “…” dropdown on the Active sprint, Kanban board or Backlog page.

Jira Cloud’s navigation is changing!

Options in the left project sidebar will move to a horizontal tab bar at the top of the page.

Read more about Atlassian’s change to navigation across the Cloud platform here. This is set to be rolled out in March 2025.

In the new Cloud navigation, find the “Roadmap” option in the project tabs:

If the “Roadmap” option is missing from the tab row:

Check the “More” dropdown for project tabs that don’t fit on your screen.

Use the + “Plus” button to add the tab to the project, or ask a Project Admin to do so.

Only users with Project Administrator or Jira Administrator permissions can reorder or add project tabs.

No configuration is necessary to start using the roadmap tool.

However, you may wish to configure date syncing so that plans you make in the app stay aligned with the dates saved to your Jira issues.
