Permissions

What are the permission requirements to create, edit and delete Personas?

Once installed, each Jira Project will have access to its own Personas repository via the Persona icon in the Project sidbar.

Users must have the Project Administrator permission in order to create, edit or delete Personas.

All other users are able to view the Persona bios in a read-only mode.

Is it possible to restrict Personas to certain Projects?

Once installed, the Personas icon will appear in the Project sidebar for every Agile Board. You are not able to restrict the visibility of the icon to select Projects/Boards.

If you would like to remove the Personas icon from every project, see below.

How do I remove the Personas icon from the Project Sidebar?

The Personas icon will only appear on Jira Software projects, not Jira Service Desk or Core.

For Jira Server and Data Center you can temporarily disable the module which shows the icon in the Project sidebar. Here are instructions on how to do this, under the Remove Icon from Project Sidebar heading.

Unfortunately this is an on/off solution - disabling the module, will remove the icon entirely and you will need to create a Project shortcut to access any Personas.

It is possible for a System Administrator to remove the Personasicon from the project sidebar of every JIRA Software project. Before the icon is hidden a project administrator should add a project shortcut to Personas for each project that wishes to use Easy Agile Personas.

To remove the icon a System Administrator must:

  1. browse to Add-ons → Manage Add-ons

  2. open Easy Agile Personas for Jira

  3. expand '266 of 266 modules enabled'

  4. click Disable next to the (easy-agile-personas Icon css) module
