Migrating to Cloud with JCMA
If you're migrating from an on-premise (Server or Data Center) Jira site to Cloud, Atlassian recommends using JCMA. The Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) app enables automated data migration from Jira Server or Data Center to Jira Cloud.
Easy Agile Roadmaps integrates with JCMA to automatically migrate app data alongside your Jira data.
See Migrating Easy Agile Roadmaps with JCMA for full details.
This is the only migration pathway that is supported at this time.
Upgrading from Jira Server to Jira Data Center
If you’re upgrading your existing Jira Server site to Jira Data Center, you won’t need to migrate data.
In this situation, you only need to replace the app license with a new Data Center app license.
The Data Center version of the app works identically to the Server version, and also includes support for multi-node Data Center sites.
The Data Center version of the app can be used on a Jira Server site. Note that newer versions of Easy Agile Roadmaps are not compatible with older versions of Jira: check version compatibility here.
Unsupported migration paths
The app does not integrate with other migration tools such as:
Atlassian’s Site import [discontinued]
Atlassian’s Copy product data
Third-party apps, such as those provided by other Atlassian Marketplace Partners
These tools will migrate Jira data, but not Easy Agile Roadmaps data.
Lost data will include:
Any schedules not synced with date fields on the Jira issues
Which Release versions from Jira have a visible version marker (though the Releases versions themselves are native Jira data)
If date syncing is enabled, your migrated Jira issues will appear at the same points on the timeline after migrating.
Theme swimlane data will be lost, so all issues will appear in the “Issues without themes” swimlane underneath an empty “My Theme” swimlane.
